The El Paso County Contractors Association is a well rounded
organization that provides networking and information of all
aspects of the construction industry to its members.
Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and support
industries are well represented by men and women who are
active in the local construction industry.
Contacts are made through meetings, beneficial local classes
and events, two golf tournaments, minor and major league
baseball and the annual Christmas party. The EPCCA is
also active in community support through the Colorado
Construction Career Days of Southern Colorado and providing
grants to local Middle and High Schools.
Colorado Construction Career Days of Southern Colorado
The EPPCA is an active sponsor of the annual
Construction Career Days of Southern Colorado. The
purpose of Construction Career Days is to broaden student
knowledge about the multi faceted opportunities available
and to increase the number of men and women entering the
construction industry. Students spend the day engaging
in hands-on events, stationary equipment activities and
technology demonstrations.
Grants to Local Middle & High Schools
Each May EPCCA tries to make a difference to the
industrial arts programs by donating $500-$1,000 to help the
schools buy tools to get in the hands of the students. Any
Construction related activity usually receives approval.
$10,000 + each year goes directly to the instructors
teaching the vocational class. Just another way to expose
our youth to our industry.
